BMF – Nevada County October 1st!

The Umpteenth Quasi-Annual Yuba River Bicycle Festival Returns to Nevada County to Celebrate Human Power and Champion Bike CultureScreen Shot 2016-09-14 at 11.01.15 PM

The Yuba River Bicycle Music Festival is a good for the heart, good for the Earth, great for the community festival that inspires, empowers, and ROCKS. Featuring live musical performances amplified with power generated by the audience as they pedal special generator bikes — using no petroleum or grid power the whole day– and showcasing the contagious fun of a group bike ride from Grass Valley to Nevada City as the riders groove together to live musical performances happening on specially outfitted bikes.  A must-see!

Date: October 1st

Music and festivities begin 11:00 at Condon Park.  Group bike ride with live musical accompaniment from there to Nevada City at 3pm.  More pedal-powered music on Commercial Street from 5pm to 9pm.  Bring your bike! This is a free event, however please bring some cash, as there will be a hat passed around to support the artists.

It’s an unparalleled experience to feel the power you can generate by pedaling, and how biking can galvanize a community to great things.  We are honored to again present this model for inspiration, participation, empowerment, and bicycle advocacy to our beloved foothills community.  Please join us for the Pleasant Revolution!

A free, family-oriented, pedal-powered music event that travels by bike between two venues, with live performances at each AND during the caravan ride between them.  Bring your bike!
